Audra Baas
Music Director
As the Music Director at Woodhaven Bible Church, Audra brings a wealth of musical talent and experience to her role. She came to faith in Christ at a young age and grew up at WBC where her journey in music there began when she started playing piano and accompanying the choir at the age of 10. This early involvement in worship laid the foundation for Audra's passion for using music to glorify God.
Audra is a classically trained pianist having earned her BFA in Music Performance from Albion College. After college she moved to New York City, where she spent nine years honing her craft in the vibrant theater scene. During her time in NYC, Audra served as a rehearsal pianist and pit musician for the Broadway production and Broadway National Tour of "Grease." She also held positions as a music director, accompanist, and arranger for various theater productions, both on and off Broadway.
In 2012, she moved back to MI and a year later in 2013, officially assumed the role of Music Director at Woodhaven Bible Church. In addition to her role at WBC, Audra serves as the Music and Vocal Director for the Downriver Youth Performing Arts Center (DYPAC) in Trenton and the Downriver Actor’s Guild (DAG) in Wyandotte.
Audra's commitment to music is matched only by her devotion to her family. She married her high school sweetheart, Joel, in 2004, and together they have three children: Brady, Eden, and Scarlett.
